'splain, Please!

Not to be too snarky on a Monday morning, but what's going on here? I first saw this image without paying attention to the title (see below). I couldn't make sense of it. Is it a toddler visiting a bird's nest to sample the eggs? What's up with the disembodied hand? Are we in a tree? On the ground?

Away In A Manger from Crossed Wing Collection

Oh, I get it! It's a cheery little bird visiting the manger! Oh-kay. I do love the fabric, just couldn't quite grock the design.

What's your favorite "huh???" design?

Help, the baby Jesus is drowning in hay! (I shouldn't be making jokes like that on Easter Monday.) My "huh?" is here "Friends are the Ribbons in the Cancer of Life." Alright, it's less "huh?" and more "WTF?"

I too thought that this pattern was a bit off. A free floating nest and what is up with that hand. You would think there would be at least part of a tree, maybe a branch? The linen is great.

this design is insanely scary. that bird does *not* look cheerful. poor baby jesus, about to have his newborn eyes pecked out and regurgitated to feed the goldfinch hatchlings up in the rafters. if they ingest the regurgitated eyes of the baby jesus, do they absorb his powers?

And the angle of the hand is odd, all the way at the end of the nest/manger like the arm is wrapped around the head (or foot).

Looked like a drowning baby to me, with a little bird trying to pull it out. Totally weird. Nice color fabric though. Greg, your so funny.
