Give Me Patience, and I Mean NOW

This popped up on Norden's site today. It's "Patience 1898" from Hands to Work. Nice type, nice border, cute bunny.

And while we're on the subject of patience..... A non-stitching friend (yes, I have a few) was visiting the new Studio and after admiring some of the models remarked that she would never have the patience to do needlework. In my opinion XS is ideal for the impatient types like me. It keeps you sitting down, helps with paying closer attention to other things (music, tv, books on tape, conversation, etc.), and rewards you long term, not short term.

OK, so I'm preaching to the choir here, but I'd been meaning to blog about patience and this chart gave me the perfect excuse.

One more on the subject:

The Finish Line

My first finish in the new space is Mansfield Park. I'm very pleased with it, and not sure how I'll frame it. In the meantime, I've hung it along with a couple of UFOs on some curtain wire from my spending spree at IKEA. Other than obscuring my fabulous Mother-in-Law's painting, I think it looks pretty cool, and is a good way to display things before I get them framed.

Not Exactly A Bumper Crop

...but the good stuff stands out!

A few gems from this month's new releases, courtesy of Hoffman's. I love this:

Grace Manor, from Praiseworthy Stitches. I love the typography& the house.

You Are My Sunshine, from La D Da. I'm a big fan of Lori Markovic, so it's no surprise to find another pleasing design. She's cheery, but never syrupy. That's a rare combo in this industry.

The Bliss Fairy, from Mirabilia. I like the curve of the stem. I think that fairy needs some cookies, though. :^)

There are a bunch of good punchneedle releases, too, but I think that's going to be another blog entry.

The new stuff will be up on the site soon, depending on how much progress I make on more unpacking here in the studio.
