Separated at Birth?

I worry that her face is kind of like the "old hag" in the famous optical illusion.

But seriously, folks. What's the verdict: love it? hate it? I think it's a step in the right direction, but I'm not sure that I'd stitch it.

What do you think?

Wow, why do so many people criticize MLI lately? She is pretty, though my stash pile is way too huge now to even consider stitching her...

My own $.02 is: she's designed some lovely things, has done a great job nudging the industry into high-end fabrics, fibers, etc., but lately there's something off about her designs. Quite a few of her things are in my stash/UFO/completed pile.

I would have snapped this up before I had a baby. Now I find myself with a huge UFO pile of designs like it, and a (boy's) nursery that needs decorating.

You know what's kind of off about this and a lot of MLI designs? The dress is so completely out of proportion to the rest of the design. I know it's fantasy and all, but I can't seem to suspend my disbelief long enough not to see it.

It's Ok, I wouldn't stitch it. Don't like the face.

A recent New Yorker cartoon had the optical illusion young woman/old hag chatting with a friend: "I'm afraid I'm turning into my mother!" LOL

Hate it. I could swear that it is literally the "old hag" illustration but without the ability to see the old hag. It's just not pretty. Ick!
